DENTAL CROWNS IN QUEENS PARK FIX YOUR SMILE

Are you looking to get Dental Crowns in Queens Park? Here at The Doctor’s Method, restorative dentistry is one of our passions. There’s nothing quite like the smile from a patient when a damaged tooth is effectively fixed. Our work not only looks aesthetically pleasing but gives you the ability to bite and chew properly again, giving you back your confidence.

Our crowns are just one type of restorative dentistry – and there are many reasons why you might need one for your smile. It could be that your tooth has become broken or damaged due to an accident or injury, or it might have become decayed and a filling requires that bit more support. Whatever the reason, we can help.

Incredibly, crowns can be just as strong and durable as natural teeth – we offer ceramic and both precious and semi-precious options. And, they even look authentic, as they can be colour-matched and sized to suit your smile.

CROWNS AT
THE DOCTOR’S METHOD

While a veneer only covers the front surface of the tooth, crowns cover all sides, so they’re ideal in situations where much of the tooth has been lost, but an extraction isn’t essential. Here’s how the process works here at our practice.

  • First, we’ll take a look at your tooth and assess suitability for the treatment.
  • The tooth is prepared to allow space for the crown to be fitted. An impression is then taken, ensuring your new crown will be a perfect fit.
  • You’ll need to wear a temporary crown while your new one is being manufactured. Once your new crown is in place, it will be very secure and look and act like a natural tooth.

CROWNS TREATMENT IN LONDON Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long does treatment take?

The initial appointment, where you’ll have your tooth prepared, usually takes around XXX. You’ll then need a second appointment for the crown to be fitted in place.

  • Does treatment hurt?

A numbing agent helps prevent any pain or discomfort while the tooth is prepared. However, it’s common to have some tenderness around the area following your appointment.

  • How long do crowns last?

Crowns last several years, but this does depend on whether you have regular check-ups and how well you look after your teeth in the meantime. Despite the strong material used in our crowns, there is always the possibility of them becoming damaged or loose over time, so avoid grinding and biting on hard foods and ensure you get in touch should anything seem amiss.

  • Is there anything else I should know?

Crowns may take some getting used to at first, but won’t stand apart from the rest of your smile. Sometimes, a metal rod or root is placed in the tooth to ensure the crown stays in place over time. Your Dentist will talk to you about this if it’s a requirement of your treatment.

  • Why choose you?

All our treatments are provided by a fully-trained, skilled and experienced dental professional. With bespoke care, we can ensure the best outcome and right choice for you.
