Chemical Peels in London The Ultimate Skin Resurfacing

Our skin goes through a lot – from sun damage, to natural ageing, to factors that stem from diet (such as a lack of adequate vitamins and minerals) and lifestyle (for instance, smoking). In turn, this can cause our complexions to look dull, dry and tired, and aged – whether from pigmentation problems or from lines and wrinkles.

Our chemical peels in London are the ideal way to ‘turn back the clock’, sweeping away layers of dead skin cells to reveal the newer, younger skin below – and prompt your skin to produce new skin cells, too. The result is an instant refresh for your face.

At The Doctor’s Method, we believe in the best, which is why we use brands such as ZO Skin Health, The Perfect Peel, Murad and Skinceuticals. With benefits including improving fine lines and wrinkles, refining skin texture, treating acne to balancing pigmentation, they’re the perfect way to rejuvenate your skin and make you look and feel younger in the process.

Medical Facials & Peels

Medical Facials & Chemical Peels

Face peels range from one-off, deeply intensive treatments, which penetrate through multiple layers of skin to give optimum results, to those that work on the surface for more subtle effects, with repeated treatments needed to maintain results.

  • First, we’ll welcome you to a consultation to ensure the treatment is right for you and your skin needs, and will provide the results you desire. Your skin may need prepping for up to 6-16 weeks, to get optimal peel results
  • Next comes your treatment. The solution is applied to skin for a matter of minutes, though deeper peels require longer. We’ll make sure you know exactly what to expect during the procedure and that you’re comfortable
  • We’ll then talk you through aftercare and book in future sessions, if desired. Please note that we won’t be able to repeat our deeper peel treatment.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels involve the application of a chemical solution to exfoliate the outer layer of the skin, promoting cell turnover and collagen production. This results in improved skin texture, reduced fine lines, and a more even tone.

CHEMICAL PEELS IN LONDON FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Do the peels hurt?

During the procedure, you may experience some stinging. For deeper peels, we offer a numbing agent to ensure you’re comfortable throughout your treatment.

  • How often will I need treatment?

The number of peels you’ll need, and the regularity of treatment, will be discussed during the consultation stage of your treatment. For those looking to have deep peels, you won’t need to repeat the treatment. Results usually appear within weeks.

  • Who is suitable for facial peels?

One of the reasons we carry out a consultation with our clients is to assess suitability for our treatments. We can then recommend alternatives if chemical peels aren’t suitable for you.

  • Are there any risks?

It’s possible that scarring or infection can occur from chemical peel treatment, but this is extremely rare and isn’t something we’ve experienced. There is also the possibility that there can be some pigmentation changes to your skin, though this depends on your skin type, and we can discuss this with you during your consultation. Risks are minimised through using a reputable clinic and experienced practitioner, both of which we offer here at The Doctor’s Method, and through following the proper aftercare instructions.

  • What is downtime like following treatment?

You may feel a tightness in your skin lasting a few hours. For deeper peels, your skin may even develop a red or brown tone. For deeper peels, some swelling and peeling may also occur. Downtime can range from 5-10 days for deeper peels. It’s important to stay sun safe after treatment too, as your skin may be more sensitive while healing.

NATURAL LOOKING OUR AMAZING RESULTS

We know that when it comes to beauty, there’s no-one more discerning than the person having the treatment. That’s why you can trust in our outstanding client reviews.
