VENEERS IN QUEENS PARK STREAMLINE YOUR SMILE

Even with the very best dental routine in place and regular check-ups with the Dentist, you can still develop problems with your teeth. Veneers may be recommended – or desired – in situations where a tooth has become chipped or cracked, or grown discoloured.

Veneers are the ideal option for those looking to cover over a tooth, giving it a shiny new surface that suites in with the rest of your smile. Most people won’t be able to tell you’ve had a veneer fitted, as the result is so natural and in-keeping with the colour of your other teeth.

Another reason our patients ask for veneers is to create that perfect smile – especially if you have gaps between the teeth or spacing issues. In these situations, we can makeover your smile but in a way that’s natural-looking and respects the beauty and symmetry of your face.

VENEERS AT
THE DOCTOR’S METHOD

Veneers have long been a celebrity favourite, and it’s easy to see why. Not only can they solve problems with individual teeth, but they can also give you a whole new smile. Here’s how the treatment works.

  • First, we’ll take a look at your tooth and assess suitability for the treatment.
  • Next, we’ll prepare your tooth by gently filing the sides and surfaces. We’ll then take impressions of the tooth, so that your new veneer will cover the tooth securely and effectively. We use porcelain, known for its natural-looking colour and durability, in all our veneers.
  • You’ll need to wear a temporary crown while your veneer is being manufactured. Once your new veneer is in place, it will be very secure and look and act like a natural tooth.

VENEERS TREATMENT IN LONDON FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How long does treatment take?

It all depends on how many veneers you require. You’ll also need a couple of appointments – one for the moulding, and another for fitting once the veneers have been manufactured.

  • Does treatment hurt?

Because we use a numbing agent, you shouldn’t feel pain or discomfort during your treatment. However, some patients need gum contouring to ensure a more attractive aesthetic. Regardless, you may have tenderness in and around the affected area after completing treatment.

  • How long do veneers last?

With the right oral care and regular check-ups, you can expect your veneers to last for years. Even better, you don’t need to do anything differently when brushing and flossing. It’s also a good idea to quit any bad habits, such as cracking nuts or grinding. In rare cases, where a veneer may come loose, book in with us as soon as possible and don’t attempt to reattach it yourself. Be aware that your exposed tooth may feel a little sensitive at this time.

  • Is there anything else I should know?

Veneers are an irreversible procedure, as they involve gently filing down the surfaces of the teeth. However, they’re strong and durable, and look and act like your natural teeth. You can also select the colour of them, to ensure a close match to your smile. Some types of veneer can also be resistant to staining.

  • Why choose you?

All our treatments are provided by a fully-trained, skilled and experienced dental professional. With bespoke care, we can ensure the best outcome and right choice for you.
